Early voting ends Tuesday
Early voting for the May 6 general election ends Tuesday. Polls will be open 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. Voters will decide on Frisco City Council, Frisco ISD board of trustees and Collin College board of trustees seats as well as a $600 million bond proposition from Collin College. Click

FISD seeks community input on future superintendent
Preston Educational Consulting will host two forums to gather input regarding what the FISD community would like to see from the next superintendent. All are welcome to attend the forums. The first
forum takes place 6-8 p.m. Monday at Wakeland High School, 10700 Legacy Drive. The second
forum takes place 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Independence High School, 10555 Independence Parkway.
Annexation case comes before City Council again
City Council will once again consider a controversial annexation case at the southwest corner of Custer Road and Westridge Boulevard. After several public hearings and tabled votes, the council is expected to make a final decision on the case Tuesday. About 80 acres of land is proposed to be annexed. The land includes Russwood Acres, a small neighborhood off Custer Road, and Westridge Villas, a multifamily project with affordable housing. The Council
meeting begins at 5 p.m. at Frisco City Hall. 6101 Frisco Square Blvd.
Warren Parkway reopens to traffic
A portion of eastbound Warren Parkway from Dallas Parkway to Miners Creek Road is open to traffic again after being closed for about 40 days. The road was closed for intersection improvements as park of the city's Dallas Parkway widening project.
