During its Jan. 3 meeting, Frisco City Council approved a specific-use permit for a Residence Inn hotel within the Frisco Station development. Residence Inn is an extended-stay hotel brand by Marriott. Amenities at most Residence Inn locations include in-suite kitchens, grocery delivery and a 24-hour market. The Frisco Station location is planned to be eight stories tall with a four-story parking garage. The hotel is planned to be part of a dual-brand AC Hotel and Residence Inn totaling 300 rooms. A Canopy by Hilton and a Hyatt Place are also planned to go into Frisco Station as part of a 600-room lifestyle hotel campus. The hotel campus will anchor The Hub, which is the centerpiece of the development. Frisco Station is a 242-acre, mixed-use development along Frisco's $5 Billion Mile. The development wraps around The Star in Frisco just north of Warren Parkway.
