An assisted living community in Frisco is expanding to include a memory care facility.

Bethesda Gardens Frisco, the community, broke ground on the expansion Nov. 4. The new facility will allow staff at the community to better serve individuals living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia, according to a news release about the groundbreaking.

The details

The expansion is set to cost $10.5 million and be 24,000 square feet, according to a filing by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Construction could be completed in early 2027.

CORE Construction will build the expansion to Bethesda Gardens Frisco.


Steven Taylor, preconstruction manager at CORE, said at the Nov. 4 groundbreaking that the expansion will include:
  • Five shared studios
  • 15 individual studios
  • Kitchen
  • Dining and bistro area
  • Living spaces
  • Courtyard
