1. Jefferson Parkhouse


The apartment complex offers four floor plans including a studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom options. Storage and reserved covered parking will be offered. Apartments will be available in two color schemes and will have wood-style flooring with carpet in the bedrooms and closets.2. Slick City Action Park

The indoor park offers a variety of slides including Fast Lane which includes a race component and Avalanche featuring course navigation. 3. Barrel House


At Barrel House, patrons can order a variety of dishes from burgers and sandwiches to pizza and tacos. The Frisco location will also have 50 beers on tap, said Chris Posey, vice president of Barrel House.4. Dad Jokes Cheesyburger

The new burger spot plans to serve burgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, chili and chili fries, hot dogs, ice cream and floats. There will also be a veggie burger and gluten free options.5. Kava Culture Kava Bar

The menu’s Botanical Cocktails section features a variety of drinks such as Fijian Sunset, Rappleberry Crush and cookie dough. In the ‘Craft Your Experience’ portion of the menu, the multipart selection process gives consumers the opportunity to pick a feeling from options like mood + joy; relax + move; stamina + strength, then pick a flavor. Add ons, like Fiji tincture and top shelf shot, will be available. Coffee, espresso, tea and herbal blends are also on the menu.6. Oak and Opal Studios


The business is meant for hairstylists looking to work out of personal suites. There will be shared spaces at the establishment as well as private suites where beauticians can operate their own businesses.7. PNC Bank

The new location is part of the Pennsylvania-based bank’s $1 billion investment and expansion plans that will open more than 100 new branches across the U.S. and renovate more than 1,200 existing locations through 2028.8. Spice Rack

One side will sell groceries and meat, the other will be a fine dining restaurant. The menu will feature Indian cuisine like Biryani and Asian dishes including fried rice and noodle dishes. Breakfast dishes will also be served. Another Spice Rack is located in Plano.What’s next

9. Aurora


The high-rise apartment building, a 233 unit, could go under construction as early as October, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing. However, a spokesperson for Wilks Development, which is behind the Firefly Park project, said construction may actually start in November.10. Rivian

A service and sales center is coming to the city, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing. The project will be about 55,498 square feet and cost $3.2 million to build. Rivian is an electric vehicle manufacturer that develops and sells electric vehicles and accessories. They offer vehicles such as electric pickup trucks and SUVs. Some of Rivian’s vehicles are known for their off-road capabilities, according to its website.Closures

11. LottieBird


The business posted on its Facebook page that May 18 was its last day in operation. LottieBird’s offered crepes, ice cream, bagels and more.
