The business opened in Frisco in October 2023, and it recently celebrated its one year anniversary.
The backstory
Crane said she previously worked in corporate America, but wasn’t fulfilled by it. She later worked as a gym teacher at a school before opening Fit Body Boot Camp.
“It was right around the time of COVID and schools got a little rough there for a minute,” Crane said. “I quickly realized [teaching] is meant for certain people and that isn’t me.”
Crane visited with a friend, who also owns a Fit Body Boot Camp location, and convinced her to open one of her own.
What they offer
The gym’s demographic is the busy adult and offers high intensity interval training classes, Crane said.
“Whether it's a busy parent, someone who works multiple jobs or something who is just trying to come back to fitness,” Crane said. “We [have] 30 minutes [classes] so anyone can fit it into their schedule.”
Additionally, the business offers a class for people who are 55 years or older called Fit Body Forever.
The class intends to increase strength, build stamina and boost stability. The class is longer than a regular Fit Body workout at 45 minutes and includes intentional exercises.
“As we age, starting around age 30 to 35, our muscle starts declining,” Crane said. “It’s more about being able to hold yourself up and walk straight.”
Crane said bone density decreases as people age and the class helps fight losing muscle.
The Fit Body Forever class focuses on areas such as grip strength, balance when walking and exercise that help if an individual falls backward.
What else?
The gym is community based and features a “Wall of Fame” where patrons can celebrate their fitness progress, whether it's the number of sessions attended or pounds lost.
Crane said building a community within the gym helps members stay motivated because it can cultivate healthy competition among members.
