Kip McGrath English and Math Tutoring opened a new south Frisco tutoring center for students in grades K-12 in September.

The center was first founded in Australia in 1976 and has since grown to have more than 500 center locations in multiple countries. The Frisco center is its first U.S. location.

Tutors use a combination of written and computer-based activities for their students, according to its website. Online tutoring options are also available.

Center staff offer a free assessment for any prospective Kip McGrath English and Math Tutoring students to get to know them, their parents and what the student needs help with, Center Manager Emily Geloven said.

The center does not offer SAT or ACT tutoring but instead focuses on math, reading, comprehension and spelling, according to its website.

“It's more helping kids get where they need to be so they can be successful in a school environment,” Geloven said.
