D1 Training is slated to celebrate its grand opening in early June, General Manager Michelle Hirst said.

The new facility is currently open to its “founding members” and will open to the rest of its members after the June grand opening, Hirst said.

D1 Training offers one-on-one training and training programs that focus on building muscle, burning fat, and improving mobility and flexibility, according to its website.

“All our classes are coach-led, all our training is coach-led,” Hirst said. “[D1 is] not a come-and-go gym.”

The facility offers classes for both adults and scholastic athletes ages 6 and older, Hirst said. The adult classes focus on fat burning and functional strength, while the younger classes focus on speed, strength, agility and explosiveness, Hirst said.
