Costco opened its first location in The Colony in mid-October near the Plano border.

The gist

The new Costco location along Grandscape Boulevard offers brand-name and private-label merchandise at prices lower than those at typical retail stores, according to a news release. Products include groceries, candy, electronics, hardware, apparel and jewelry.

The new location in The Colony is one of nearly 1,000 warehouses worldwide. Costco has multiple locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including two locations in Plano and one in Frisco. Costco's Prosper location opened in March 2025.
