A new iCode campus is expected to open sometime in August, location owner Phillip Mantecon said.

iCode offers students a science, technology, engineering and mathematics, or STEM, curriculum with courses in game design, coding, robotics, digital design and more.

The new location will offer summer camps ahead of the August opening, just at a nearby church instead of the actual campus, Mantecon said. After-school programs will also be available once the location opens.

Mantecon said he learned about iCode after his 7- and 10-year-old sons became interested in game design from playing the online game Roblox.

“I've always been interested in technology, and I enjoy working with kids, so, I thought maybe it's something I can look into,” he said. “We ended up signing with them, and now we're in the process of opening our location.”
