The appointment-only, volunteer-run boutique offers donated gowns at approximately 50% off or more with a majority of the proceeds going to two Dallas-Fort Worth-area nonprofits, Alive at Last and GloryB, which help women rescued from sex trafficking or exploitation, according to the Alisa Joy website. The church was established in 2002, first meeting in a home, then Boles Elementary, followed by Pink Elementary, then in a converted warehouse on John W. Elliott Drive before moving to its new location, Connections Pastor Angela Spann said. The church offers worship in a “casual and friendly environment,” according to its website. Classes are also available for newborns to fifth graders.4. Alley Noodle Bar

The restaurant offers Vietnamese dishes, including pho, fried rice and noodle options, as well as appetizers, salads and desserts.5. Anaya's Seafood Scratch Kitchen

The family-owned restaurant offers seafood, such as Chilean salmon and flounder. The restaurant also serves chicken dishes and hamburgers.Coming soon

6. Garages of America


The business broke ground on a second facility at the northwest corner of Frisco Street and Research Road on Oct. 20, according to a news release. The car storage complex allows customers to purchase suite-style garage spaces for their cars or as a lounge space, according to its website.7. Salata Salad Kitchen

The restaurant allows customers to customize their meals and will offer expanded dressings and products at the new location.

8. Dogtopia

The new location will offer dog day care, boarding and spa services. Another Dogtopia is open in Frisco on Preston Road. Dogs receive safe socialization, exercise and education while playing in the open-play facility, west Frisco location owner Tiffany Porter said in an email.In the news

9 Five Below


A project has been filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for a new Five Below in Frisco. According to the filing, construction is expected to finish in July. Five Below is a discount store that sells apparel, home goods, snacks and more.10. Buffalo Wild Wings Go

Renovations to the existing space include new furniture, finishes and decor in patron areas, and are expected to begin in mid-December and wrap up in mid-January. An opening date has not been announced, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Buffalo Wild Wings Go will focus on to-go orders, and will offer a limited menu with traditional and boneless wings with 28 sauce options; chicken tenders; sandwiches; and sides, such as onion rings and fries.
