Frisco-based IT provider Skinny IT has been named the exclusive IT services provider and corporate sponsor for the Frisco RoughRiders as part of a five-year partnership. Through this partnership, Skinny IT will offer all IT services to the RoughRiders, including installing Wi-Fi in the ballpark to open seating and suites, upgrading network security, enhancing Point of Sale and user experience from the stadium Wi-Fi. Skinny IT will begin providing technology services on April 22. “A partnership of this magnitude is new for our team, and I am confident we will provide the highest quality IT services the RoughRiders organization deserves,” said Skinny IT CEO Sam Darwish in a statement. As a corporate sponsor, Skinny IT assumes the naming rights to the Skinny IT Tech Tavern, formerly known as the Triple Play Tavern, promotional support throughout Dr. Pepper Ballpark and invitations to exclusive RoughRiders’ events throughout the year. “The Frisco RoughRiders have made it our priority to provide every guest to Dr. Pepper Ballpark the best game-day experience possible,” said Chuck Greenberg, general partner and CEO of the Frisco RoughRiders, in a press release. “We welcome Skinny IT into our RoughRiders family and look forward to partnering with them for years to come. Their IT services will help advance Dr. Pepper Ballpark with cutting-edge technology to benefit every fan.” The RoughRiders’ baseball regular season runs through Sept. 4.
