Two transportation projects in Flower Mound will see roads closed and residents sent on detours as they drive through town.

The details

On Feb. 17, a contractor for the town of Flower Mound began work on Deer Path. The work will cost about $11,665 and be paid for through the town’s general fund.

A lane will be shut down for the work but one lane will remain open for through traffic. The company Apex Concrete started removing and replacing concrete street panels on the road between Meadow Lark and Harbor View Drive. Melissa Demmitt, Flower Mound’s communications director, said in an email that Deer Path has deteriorating concrete pavement failures.

“The project is necessary to keep the roadway safe and improve its conditions,” Demmitt said.

Weather permitting, the work should be done by March 7, according to the town’s website.
