The details
The work will take place on the road from the Parkwood Drive intersection to the Arbor Creek Lane intersection. Beginning Feb. 19, F&F Concrete Construction will continue on Flower Mound Road, closing the eastbound inside lane. The outside lane will still be open and the work is expected to last 45 days. This is the second part of phase four of the road project.
“This project was initiated due to deteriorating pavement failures along Flower Mound Road,” Flower Mound’s Communications Director Melissa Demmitt, said.
Diving deeper
The project includes lane reconstruction, repairs of concrete road panels, storm drainage improvements and ADA accessibility enhancements, according to previous Community Impact reporting. The budget for the project is $2.3 million, paid for through capital improvement project and dedicated sales tax funds. The Flower Mound Town Council approved the project in May 2024.
What’s next?
Construction on the rest of the project should start in June and be completed by August, according to previous Community Impact reporting.
