FM 407 will be fully closed at the railroad tracks just west of US 377 starting at 1 a.m. Dec. 15, according to a traffic alert from the Texas Department of Transportation. The closure is expected to last until mid-morning Dec. 16.
Delays are expected and TxDOT is encouraging drivers to find alternate routes. Detour signs and message boards will be in place during the closure.
Railroad company Union Pacific is repairing the crossing surface with asphalt during the closure, TxDOT Public Information Officer Tila Grant said in an email. The work is not related to any TxDOT roadway repairs.
