Flower Mound motorists and pedestrians will notice some changes in signage on the west side of town.

The background

In late June, crews finished installing signage for an all-way stop at the intersection of Denton Creek Boulevard and Canyon Falls Drive, according to a town news release. Along with the new signage, people also will see flags in the area to indicate the changes for motorists.

Zooming in

Traveling north on Denton Creek Boulevard at Dolan Falls Drive, people will soon see the installation of a rectangular rapid flashing beacon to make crossing the street safer for pedestrians. Finally, a school zone flasher will be added on Denton Creek Boulevard, just north of Prairie Ridge Road, to help with traffic headed south toward Argyle South Elementary School.

Installation of the flashing beacon and school zone flasher is expected to be finished before school begins Aug. 14, the release states.
