The detour is expected to be removed by the end of the day.
The crews are placing concrete as part of the Waketon Road project, which is a joint project with the towns of Double Oak and Flower Mound. The overall project limits its reach from Cross Timbers Drive to Parksdale Drive.
The full project will include adding an enclosed storage system to the existing two-lane asphalt road and the installation of a roundabout at the intersection of Waketon Road and Chinn Chapel Road. The overall project is scheduled to be completed this fall.
