A single-family home rental community is now complete within Argyle’s Harvest by Hillwood mixed-use development, according to a news release.

Arizona-based BB Living finished its community within the Harvest development in late 2024, which includes 191 single-family homes that are “built to rent,” BB Living President Branden Lombardi said.

“One of the great things is people get the benefit of a new home without the stress of home ownership, especially at a point when affordability and mortgage rates are a real factor,” Lombardi said. “Many families are choosing not to buy at this time, and BB Living provides those people an alternative, but they don't have to give up quality of life from the standpoint of living in a great community like Harvest with all the associated amenities.”

The details

Homes within the BB Living community range between a little under 1,800 square feet to more than 2,400 square feet, and are one or two stories, Lombardi said. The residences, which are available in six floor plans, have three or four bedrooms, up to two-and-a-half bathrooms, and a two-car garage, Lombardi added.

Within the homes, individuals can expect smart home technology, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and hardwood floors, per the news release. All units in BB Living’s Harvest community are zoned for Argyle ISD schools, Lombardi said.

Rents for homes start at $2,595 and go up to $3,422. Renters interested can check the community’s website for the most up-to-date rental information and move-in specials, Lombardi added.

Additionally, residents within the BB Living Harvest development have access to a dog park, on-site property management and maintenance, and any other amenities within the Hillwood development.

The impact

The build-to-rent homes offer a market option, particularly one better tailored to the town of Argyle, Lombardi said.

“In an apartment, you have people above you, below you, next to you, and it's just not the typical living environment that most people want, especially in a place like Argyle right now,” he said.

The homes also provide more supply within the single-family home rental market and a different option than the other for-sale homes in Harvest.

“Outside of the one-off landlord, there's not a ton of opportunities for people to rent an actual home,” Lombardi said.

Looking ahead

After celebrating a grand opening of the community earlier this year, the community is around 70% occupied, Lombardi said. By the summer, he said that he hopes the community is 90%-95% full.
