A planned power outage will occur in Argyle affecting residents and businesses along US 377 and Country Club Road June 30, according to an alert from the town.

What’s happening?

The power outage will affect residents starting on Thornridge Circle off Country Club Road, continuing down Country Club Road to US 377 and extending down to Frenchtown Road, according to the alert.

Residents and businesses on the east side of US 377 will be affected from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. Residents in the Country Club Road area from Harrison Lane going east and including Thornridge Circle will be affected from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., per the alert.

The outage will affect 1,400 Oncor customers in the area and all but 75 Oncor customers will receive their power back within two hours, Oncor spokesperson Andrew Clark said.

Residents and businesses can check Oncor's website to see the status of the power outage when it occurs.

The outage will occur because Oncor plans to conduct a transfer of power over to an improved system during that time, according to the alert. This is in an ongoing effort from Oncor to improve services for Argyle residents, Clark said.
