Area municipalities have announced closings in observance of Labor Day on Sept. 2.
What you need to know
In Flower Mound, Town Hall, the municipal court, the animal adoption center, the public library and Senior Center will be closed. On Labor Day, the Community Activity Center will open with modified hours, from 8 a.m.-8 p.m., according to a town news release.
All trash, recycling and bulk collection will be delayed by one day, the release states. Customers who would have pickup on Sept. 2 will have their items collected on Sept. 3, and so on until collection is complete on Sept. 7.
Police, fire and emergency services will remain in operation at all times.
What else?
In Argyle, Town Hall and the Argyle Police Department station will be closed on Labor Day. Trash pickup services will remain on schedule. Unity Park will be open to the public.
In Highland Village, city offices will be closed on Labor Day. Yard waste pickup will run as scheduled on Sept. 2.
In Northlake, trash pickup will not be affected by the holiday, City Secretary Zolaina Parker said. Town Hall and administrative offices will be closed but police will be available as always, Parker added.
