Also of note

An open house scheduled for March 16 at Town Coves Park has been postponed to May 18.

Town officials made the move because of wet weather predicted to arrive March 16, a town news release states.

On the new date, gates at the park, 5001 Wichita Trail, will open for free entry from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. People are invited to tour fully furnished cabins, visit the various day-use areas, such as the boat ramp and recreational vehicle sites, enjoy snacks and refreshments, and other activities.
