Argyle residents wanting to know more about a new residential development may attend a Program for Argyle Community Engagement meeting set for early November.

The details

The meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. Nov. 6 in the Argyle Town Hall Community Room, 308 Denton St. E.

Officials from the Wilbow Corp., the developer, said they want to build a 72-acre single-family residential development on the west side of FM 1830 between FM 407 and Knight Street, according to a town news release. Company officials will be at the meeting. The concept plan has 49 lots with common open space and a water feature, the release states.

This event allows residents to ask questions, learn more about the development standards and see architectural exhibits.

The background

The first meeting on this project was held in late January, and the site is being proposed to be rezoned from single-family residential 2.5 to a planned development with single-family residential-1 base zoning along with an application for amended future land use category, town officials said. The developer has made a formal submittal for the project that is under review, the release states.
