Flower Mound’s Possum Park playground closed for upgrades on Sept. 8 and is expected to reopen next month, according to a town of Flower Mound news release.

Crews will replace the old play equipment with a new nature-themed playground at the park, located at 2535 Timber Ridge Lane. When the playground reopens, it will feature separate play structures for kids ages 2-5 and 5-12, a five-seat swing set, multiple slides, and engineered wood fiber play surfacing, the release stated.

Possum Park’s playground replacement project is expected to take four to five weeks.

Residents are encouraged to visit one of the town’s many other playgrounds during the closure.
