Located at 2880 Garden Road, the park will have, when it reopens, a new space-themed playground that will include separate play structures for children ages 2 to 5 and 5 to 12 with integrated shade, a six-seat swing set, multiple slides, climbing structures, educational panels and other amenities.
The existing wood fiber safety surfacing also will be replaced with a poured-in-place rubber for enhanced accessibility and safety, the town website states.
People may visit one of the town’s many other playgrounds during the closure.
