Flower Mound Parks and Recreation is offering free Christmas tree recycling from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. now through Jan. 8 at Gerault Park, 1200 Gerault Road.
The recycling program will be offered to residents only, and it will not be available to commercial Christmas tree businesses, according to a town news release. Trees cannot be flocked and must have all nails and decorations removed.
The trees will be sent through a woodchipper and turned into mulch. Residents who would like to take the mulch are encouraged to bring their own containers for transportation. For more information, call 972-874-7275.
Highland Village residents can dispose of their Christmas trees through Jan. 3. Tree drop off is available all day at Brazos Park, 190 Brazos Blvd.
All decorations must be removed.
