The park located at 3000 Old Settlers Road closed its playground Oct. 10 while crews installed a new peacock-themed play structure, and it reopened Nov. 17.
The project’s budget was $250,000, and it was funded by town's dedicated sales tax for parks, according to the town’s website.
The new playground includes three twisting slides, multiple climbing structures, a new swing set and an educational panel depicting the life cycle of a peacock, the release states.
