Cooking up Culture

Learn about different culinary cultures at the Flower Mound Public Library with Cooking up Culture, an event that showcases different dishes from cultures. This event will showcase Caribbean lentil curry and plantains. Samples will be provided.Live Music at The Shops at Highland Village

As part of the Summer Vibes event series, local musicians Anna Marie and Grace Wynn will perform for free at The Shops’ Backyard event space. The event will feature craft stations and giveaways.

Jon Griffin at at Lakeside Plaza


As part of the Lakeside Music Series, rock, country and blues musician Jon Griffin will perform at The Shops at Lakeside Plaza. The Shops will host free live music every night through November.

Chris Stapleton Tribute Band

Head to Whiskey and Smoke to enjoy a show from tribute band Traveller-Chris Stapleton Tribute. Country musician Chris Stapleton’s hits include “Think I’m in Love With You” and his version of “Tennessee Whiskey.”

Y2K-Turn of the Century Party Band at Marty B’s


Relive the '90s and early 2000s at Marty B’s in Bartonville with Y2K Turn of the Century Party Band. The band plays hits from artists like Britney Spears, NSYNC and Green Day.

Trivia at the Bartonville Tavern

Test your mental mettle every Wednesday at the Bartonville Tavern for trivia. Up to six players can play on a team, with one smart device to submit answers. The top three teams will receive a prize.

Chip Davis and Stacy Gore at Lakeside Plaza


Another Lakeside Music Series event, metroplex-based guitar player and musician Chip Davis will perform at The Shops at Lakeside Plaza. Davis and performing partner Stacy Gore are also part of the Makeshift Band, a rock, country, pop and blues band active in the Metroplex.

Paint and Sip Back to School Bash

Close out the summer with the New Song School of the Arts’ Back to School Bash, where guests of age are encouraged to bring their own adult beverages while they create artwork on a whimsical chalkboard with colorful art supplies. Instructors will guide the session and no art skills or supplies are required.

Rachel Stacy at Whiskey and Smoke


Musician and songwriter Rachel Stacy will perform her signature style of fiddle-playing country music at the Whiskey and Smoke. Stacy has worked and toured with Willie Nelson and ZZ Top.

Sunrise Yoga Flow

Bring your own yoga mat and towel to the Shops at Highland Village for Sunrise Yoga with Inspire Yoga. The class will take place at The Shops' new Backyard event space the last Sunday of each month through October.
