Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest


Make a mark on the sidewalk at the Chalk the Walk Art Contest at Heritage Park in Flower Mound. Each artist will be assigned a concrete square to create their artwork, and chalk will be provided for the first 75 artists to register. The contest will have several age groups, from under 6 years old to 18 years old and older.

Argyle Police Department Safety Fair


Learn more about water, vehicle and heat safety at the fifth annual safety fair. The event will also have a helicopter landing, and individuals can view police and fire vehicles.

Guitars and Growlers Trivia

Compete solo or bring a team for trivia every Wednesday night at Guitars and Growlers in Flower Mound. Entry is free, and a smart device is required to submit answers. The menu offers roughly 50 different beers and bar fare, including wings, flatbreads and sandwiches.

Celebrate Highland Village


The event includes an early morning 5K fun run, fire truck pull and fishing derby at Doubletree Ranch Park. Journey tribute band Escape will perform in the evening, followed by fireworks.

Flower Mound Farmers Market

Shop for produce and merchandise from local vendors and artisans at the Flower Mound Farmers Market. The farmers market runs for four hours every Sunday morning in the River Walk development.

Bar League Jeopardy


Play Jeopardy every Tuesday at the Brass Tap in Highland Village. Winners will receive a prize and participation is free. The Brass Tap offers more than 100 different local, domestic and import beers.

Elite Chef Competition

Sample dishes from four local professional chefs at the Seniors in Motion Elite Chef Competition in Flower Mound. Each chef will prepare their best dish, with the audience voting for their favorite to crown the elite chef. All proceeds will benefit the Flower Mound Senior Center.

'80s Trivia Night


Test your knowledge of the '80s at the Flower Mound Public Library’s themed trivia night. Teams can be between two and six players, and winning teams will receive small prizes.

Flower Mound Independence Fest 2025


Independence Fest 2025 includes local vendors, food trucks and live entertainment. The event will start with the annual children’s parade at Leonard and Helen Johns Park, with festivities picking back up at Bakersfield Park. The music lineup includes tribute band Hotel Mac Doobie, disco band Le Freak and award-winning country musician Chris Janson will headline.
