Father's Day Picnic

Attendees can celebrate fathers and grandfathers at the Seniors in Motion annual Father's Day cookout. Participants can play outdoor games and enjoy a cheeseburger lunch and frozen treat.

Life of a Civil War Soldier


Retired U.S. history teacher Bruce Ralston will reenact the life of First Sgt. Josiah Ballou to explain Ballou's experiences and knowledge of the Civil War. He will cover various topics ranging from camp life to the role of women and African-Americans as well as everyday life during that time period. This event is for ages 10 and older. Live music will take place under the stars, near Lambeau's America. Each event will include a kids activity sponsored by Adventure Kids Playcare.

Children’s Parade


The town of Flower Mound invites participants to decorate bikes, trikes, wagons and strollers for a short parade route to Leonard and Helen Johns Community Park where they can enjoy free hot dogs, drinks, children’s activities and live entertainment.Independence Fest

This town of Flower Mound event will include live music, featuring country singer and songwriter Pat Green, concessions, a kid’s zone, vintage car show, exhibitors and fireworks show. Fireworks will begin at approximately 9:50 p.m.Swiftie Party

This event is designed to celebrate the release of Taylor Swift’s new album. Participants will personalize canvas backpacks or totes, make friendship bracelets and listen to Swift’s hits including her new album.
