Annual Household Waste Collection


Argyle and Republic Waste will be hosting this event. There will be dumpsters for trash and debris, as well as services provided by Republic Services. Participants can bring household hazardous waste, electronic waste, tires, water heaters, washers, dryers and freezers with freon removed. On-site document destruction will also be available.

Sink or Sail Regatta

This town of Flower Mound event allows participants to test their engineering skills by constructing and decorating a seaworthy vessel using only supplies provided by the Community Activity Center. One person from each team must sail across the CAC's 25-yard indoor pool without sinking. Prizes will be awarded to the three fastest crafts that successfully complete the voyage. Individuals age 13 and under must have a parent or guardian register as their partner. Each team member must register.Kid Fish


The town of Flower Mound is hosting a fishing event for kids. The Rheudasil Park pond will be stocked with more than 500 pounds of catfish. Prizes and awards will be given in several categories. Rods, reels and bait are provided, or attendees can bring their own.May

Movies in the Park


The city of Highland Village will host movies in the park the first two Fridays in May. Attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets to the event. Food trucks will be on site. "Trolls Band Together" will be shown the first Friday; "Elemental" will be featured the following week.Bike with the Blue

The Flower Mound Police Department is hosting a multifaceted event featuring a 5K, a civilian bike race, a kids ride with the police and a police bike race. The police bike race is a competition strictly for police bike units where they will compete for the Bike With the Blue trophy. The fundraising event will benefit local nonprofit Journey to Dream.

Highland Village Art Festival


This event will feature displays from over 30 gallery-quality artists, artist demonstrations, live music and interactive children’s art activities. It is a joint venture between the city of Highland Village and The Shops at Highland Village benefiting Kids Kastle playground.
