Highland Village’s Parks and Recreation Department will have two Summer Break Camp activities aimed for children and young teens in June and July. Events will be held at The Robert & Lee DuVall Center, 948B Highland Village Road, and sessions will run June 19-23 and July 10-14.

American Red Cross Babysitting and CPR Summer Camp will provide skills to help kids be a “responsible babysitter,” and campers also will learn to write resumes, interview for jobs, make good decisions, solve problems and become certified in child/infant CPR, according to information on the city website. The camp is aimed for children ages 10-14. The cost is $100, and sessions run from 10 a.m.-noon.

Children’s Cooking Summer Camp will teach basic nutrition in meal planning, kitchen safety, cooking tools and equipment, small appliances, table setting, and etiquette, the website stated. The camp includes plenty of hands-on experience making easy and fun meals, and the camp is aimed at children ages 7-14. The cost is $100, and sessions run from 2-4 p.m.
