Dallas Area Rapid Transit vehicles will provide free transportation for voters to polling locations within the DART service area on Nov. 7. Those areas include Denton and Dallas counties.

The details

Voters can ride at no charge on all DART buses, trains, GoLink, the Dallas Streetcar, Paratransit Services, and the Trinity Rail Express between the Eddie Bernice Johnson Union Station and the CentrePort/Dallas Fort Worth Airport Station, according to a news release from DART.

To get a free ride, riders must show a valid voter registration card.

GoLink riders can use promo code VOTE117 at checkout for a complimentary Adult Local Day Pass in the DART GoPass app on Nov. 7 only, officials said.

Also of note

Riders who need customized trip planning can map out their ride with the "plan" tool in the free GoPass app or use the Trip Planner on www.dart.org, the news release stated. For more information, call DART Customer Service at 214-979-1111.

If riders plan their trip directly in Google Maps, they can enter the voting location as their destination and choose the Transit option—the train icon—to get travel directions using DART.
