According to unofficial voting results, Kevin Cox has defeated Cindy Richter in the May 6 race for Highland Village City Council Place 3, with four of four precincts reporting.
Cox garnered 828 votes, or 50.36%, to Cindy Richter's 816 votes.

Early voting totals show Cindy Richter leading the May 6 race for Highland Village City Council Place 3.
Richter is narrowly leading opponent Kevin Cox, garnering 578 votes to Cox's 559.
The winner of the election will take over for incumbent Mayor Pro Tem Mike Lombardo, who did not run for re-election.
Rhonda Hurst and incumbent Brian Fiorenza are running unopposed for places 5 and 7, respectively.
