Argyle ISD students will be paying anywhere from 10 cents to 25 cents more for their meals at school after AISD trustees unanimously approved an increase to the price of paid meals at a July meeting.

The specifics

According to district documents, increasing the meal prices ensures enough revenue to cover the costs of operation.

Paid breakfast will increase by 10 cents, and paid lunch will increase by 25 cents from last year’s prices across all campuses.

Elementary students will pay:
  • $2.35 for breakfast
  • $4.00 for lunch
Sixth Grade Center students, middle school students and high school students will pay:
  • $2.60 for breakfast
  • $5.00 for lunch
Meals from The Market, the made-to-order deli, will remain the same at $5.25.

One more thing

Families can apply for free and reduced meals on the district’s website. Applications are available in English and Spanish.
