President of VLK Architects Marty Sims and Argyle ISD Construction Manager Jeff Cohen presented four design options for consideration by the board of trustees.
Background
The 2022 bond and all of its proposals were approved by voters May 7, 2022. The bond's total cost was estimated to be nearly $267.89 million and consisted of three propositions:
- Proposition A: the construction of a middle school and an elementary school
- Proposition B: the construction of a stadium at Argyle High School
- Proposition C: the construction of an indoor activity center at Argyle High School
A closer look
An estimate made Sept. 27 stated the total construction of both projects is expected to cost nearly $35.63 million, which is about $6.17 million less than previously estimated. Below are the four stadium options presented by Sims and Cohen, which is a follow-up to a Sept. 11 construction workshop meeting.
