The Argyle ISD board of trustees approved funding for testing lab services for Argyle High School parking lot expansion during its Oct. 17 meeting.

The board approved D&S Engineering to provide material testing services for a maximum not to exceed $40,000, according to the agenda.

The funding for the project will come from the 2017 bond fund savings. In 2017, Argyle residents passed a $166 million bond for multiple projects across the district to address student enrollment growth, capacity and renovations to existing facilities.

The board approved the expansion of the high school parking lot in August. The material testing services are necessary to verify compliance with the construction documents.
