Snowy Bingsu, which opened in 2017, was bought by Flower Mound residents Jimmy Kim and his wife Sunny Choi in June.

Kim and Choi also own Daylight Donuts in Frisco. One of the main reasons the couple bought Snowy Bingsu is so they could have a business close to their home, Choi said.

Choi said that bingsu is shaved ice cream and is a popular Korean dessert. Snowy Bingsu offers 20 bingsu flavors, 20 types of smoothies and a wide variety of boba and iced teas. The Korean-inspired menu also features taiyaki, which is a fried pastry with sweet and savory filling options.

Kim and Choi offer all the same options that were available under the previous ownership but plan on expanding the menu to include Korean street food.
