The Tavern at Lakeside opened in April 2019 in Flower Mound.

Restaurant Ventures Unlimited President Dave Coussirat said in an email he chose this location because of its accessibility.

“The location, in the middle of Lakeside, is uniquely positioned to serve thousands of residents that are within walking distance,” said Coussirat, a 24-year resident of Flower Mound. “We're thrilled that we also have guests from Highland Village, Coppell, Grapevine and surrounding communities that consider The Tavern to be their favorite restaurant and bar.”

The Tavern offers 24 draft beers and an extensive bourbon, tequila, wine and cocktail menu. The food menu features Hawaiian shrimp salad rolls, apple cranberry chicken salad, meatloaf tower and more.

The large dog-friendly patio has been voted Best of Denton County-Best Happy Hour four years in a row.

“Tavern Tuesday, when signature menu items are 50% off, dine-in only, continues to be an extremely popular day at The Tavern,” Coussirat said.

Providing variety has proven to be a key ingredient in customer satisfaction.

“The most important opportunity for us now is to keep the concept fresh,” Coussirat said. “Our goal is to constantly provide our guests with fun experiences and new menu options. We aim to rotate in 4-5 new menu items every few months, and our specialty cocktail menu is always changing with the seasons.”

Restaurant Ventures Unlimited also operates Tycoon in Flower Mound and will open Volstead in Southlake in May.
