A plan for the property was presented during the Dec. 4 planning and zoning meeting.
The planning and zoning commission tabled the item for further discussion at the Jan. 8 meeting to allow the applicant to provide more clarification and information about the project.
The overview
The development would be located off of the southwest corner of I-35W and Robson Ranch Road, according to city documents. It would include 129 acres of community retail space, 40 acres of office retail space, and 15 acres of community facilities including medical services. The property would also include paved 8.5-foot trails connecting the property, said city documents. There is a proposal for 14.2 acres of the property to be open space.
“The intent is to provide... a mixed use development that is supportive of the town’s comprehensive plan,” said applicant Bill Dahlstrom from Jackson Walker. “We will be facilitating a combination of uses [and] trails... as a way of providing connectivity throughout the development.”
The details
The plans for construction consist of four phases over a 30-year period, said Dahlstrom.
The first phase of construction would be from 2024-2028 and consist of constructing office and retail spaces.
Construction of a traffic signal was recommended along the two proposed access drives to Robson Ranch Road on the north side, according to city documents. This would be built during Phase 1 of construction.
