In anticipation of spring and summer, the Argyle Town Council approved several upgrades to a popular park at a special meeting March 22.

What happened: Unity Park, located on Crawford Road near the Argyle ISD office building, will be getting a plethora of updates following unanimous council approval on three action items.
  • $50,000 from the town's Tree Reforestation Fund to provide additional trees
  • Placement of a monarch butterfly garden and way station
  • A mural painted on the side of the park's main shed
Who's involved: The Argyle Master Gardener Association brought the idea of the butterfly garden, way station and mural before council. Public works requested funds for the trees.

When will these projects begin: As soon as possible, according to town officials.
