Ro Rynd, the owner of drybar, a California-based chain of hair salons that specializes in blowouts, plans to open in the second half of 2025.
"The Shops at Highland Village, in particular, is a premier retail destination that attracts a vibrant and diverse clientele who value convenience and luxury,” Rynd said in an email. "It's curated mix of high-end retailers, restaurants and services ensures a steady flow of foot traffic from residents and visitors alike."
Ravi Wadhwa, senior general manager at The Shops at Highland Village, said officials with drybar have already signed a lease.
“They have executed a lease and we have given them possession of the space,” Wadhwa said.
Renovations on the new drybar location are expected to start in February and wrap up in June, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The location is set to be 1,652 square feet and cost of renovations will be about $225,000.
