According to a BrightStar company representative, James Muench, a local US Navy Reserves officer, took over ownership of BrightStar Care of Flower Mound in March.

“James brings his experience as an officer in the US Navy Reserves and a former executive director at Estee Lauder Companies to his new venture in franchising,” a news release states. “He was inspired to get into home care after taking care of his grandmother in 2023. He looks forward to providing high-quality care to his community.”

The franchise provides medical and nonmedical home care services. The agency also provides medical staffing.
