A tanning and wellness spa will open soon in Northlake.

Afterglow Tanning & Wellness is dedicated to providing a welcoming, relaxed experience for everyone, said Bryan Baxter, representing the company, in a news release. (His wife, Laura, is majority owner.) In addition to ultraviolet and spray tanning, several wellness and red-light therapy services will be available at the location.

"Our mission is simple, deliver a fabulous, comfortable experience for every guest, every visit, with results everyone will notice," Batxer said.

In addition to tanning services, AfterGlow offers several light-therapy skin solutions, such as blue-light therapy for acne reduction; red-light therapy for anti-aging and diminishing skin imperfections; and infrared wellness pods for circulation stimulation, pain reduction, immunity boosts and the "ultimate relaxation and tan prep."
