A Highland Village optical establishment is moving to a new location.

Village Vision Center is expanding, Vice President Rony Daniel said. It is moving from 2300 Highland Village Road to Barnett Boulevard, with a building now under construction. The full-service optometry center opened under current management in 2016 but operated for another eight years prior to that.

“We just want to have a better experience for our patients because there’s no more space for us to grow,” Daniel said.

Daniel said in an email the expansion has been in the planning stages since 2021, and the design of the new space is being “meticulously designed to blend beautiful aesthetics with functionality” and the center will have an optical section showcasing or more than 1,000 frames and sunglasses in "a well-organized layout, ensuring a seamless shopping experience. Additionally, it includes a spacious contact lens training area for new wearers.”

The expansion also will introduce a specialized dry eye clinic and an advanced in-house lens lab, and it will enhance the Village Vision’s eye care services, from routine exams to specialized treatments.
