Special discounts, games and prizes, treats for pets, and tours of a new dog care business will be featured at the grand opening of a dog care business Nov. 18 in Argyle.

The Dog Stop had a ribbon-cutting Nov. 15 at location with Argyle with the Metroport Chamber Ambassadors joining Argyle Mayor Rick Bradford to welcome the new business, according to a release from the town of Argyle.

Local residents Ryan and Niki Rathert with Karla Scheibelhut are the owner-operators of The Dog Stop Argyle location, and the release states they decided to open the business because of population growth in the area and a limited number of dog care facilities. The Dog Stop offers boarding, doggie day care, grooming and canine nutritional products. The site features large suites and beds, camera access for owners to view their boarders, turf both inside and outside, private indoor play areas, and several covered outside play areas.

“We chose to open The Dog Stop after realizing what’s really important to us,” Ryan Rathert said in the release. “I want to serve my city and feel truly a part of the neighborhood. As dog lovers ourselves, The Dog Stop is an incredible opportunity for us to help both pet owners and dogs of Argyle alike.”

Customers may register for this free event and to enter several grand opening raffles by visiting the business website.
