Walmart has canceled construction plans for a new Argyle location, according to an Oct. 13 statement from the town of Argyle.

After consideration, Walmart decided to terminate its interest contract with a local developer. Consequently, the construction plans for the new location will not proceed, according to the statement.

“We encourage residents to continue to share their thoughts and ideas with us concerning our commercial corridor, as we know thoughtful future development is key to our town's growth and success,” the announcement states.
