Children’s boutique Neon Elephant and Learning Express Toys and Gifts are relocating to be next to each other, owner Jennifer Kaplinsky said in an email.

Kaplinsky opened Learning Express in 2020 followed by Neon Elephant in 2022. Currently, both stores are located in The Shops at Highland Village, but they are not connected. The new location within the mall will set the two stores side by side. Both stores will be accessible to each other and customers will be able to do back-to-school, holiday and birthday shopping all in one place, Kaplinsky said.

“The relocation will provide a more seamless shopping experience for customers, as the space will be equipped with knowledgeable staff able to assist them with both their clothing and toy needs and provides one easy check-out experience,” she said.

The company expects to be closed for no more than a week during the relocation, Kaplinsky said. The shops are moving next to Cheeky Monkeys, creating an entire block dedicated to kids.

“We are thrilled to be expanding into a new combined space that gives our customers a one-stop shop for children’s clothing and toys,” Kaplinsky said.
