For more than 20 years, Frisco’s Environmental Services Division has been giving residents the opportunity to recycle.
Environmental Services Manager Jeremy Starritt said recycling allows residents to be good stewards to the city and its land.
“The more we can recycle, the less natural products have to be reused,” he said.
Recycling also saves the city money, Starritt said. With 28 percent of collected waste in Frisco being recyclables, the city saved nearly $700,000 in landfill costs last year, he said.
The division allows residents to recycle either through curbside pickup or by dropping off items at the city’s Environmental Collection Center.
