Carroll ISD

District news - The Carroll ISD board of trustees appointed Janet McDade, assistant superintendent for student services, as acting superintendent until further notice during a Dec. 3 meeting. McDade relieves David Faltys, who is on a temporary leave of absence to spend time with family during a health situation, Julie Thannum, assistant superintendent for board and community relations, said in an email.

- CISD is forming a culturally informed diversity council to advise on ways to promote tolerance and inclusivity at the district and campus level. The council will review and advise on potential diversity initiatives.
