Updated 10 a.m. Jan. 11 Frisco ISD board of trustees approved the final attendance zones for the 2017-18 school year during its regular meeting Monday night. Rezoning for 2017-18 will impact fewer students than years prior—about 300. The zoning changes are intended to provide overcrowding relief and help balance enrollment at existing schools. Some of the zones affect no students at all because they modify zones in undeveloped or soon-to-be developed areas where there are no or few students. The following approved changes will affect students:
  • Elementary Schools-east
    • Comstock Elementary School to Isbell Elementary School- This will impact 91 current students in the following neighborhoods: Estates at Craig Ranch West, Fairways at Craig Ranch, Hemmingway at Craig Ranch, Southern Hills at Craig Ranch and Wellstone at Craig Ranch.
    • Gunstream Elementary School to Christie Elementary School- This will impact 58 current students in the following neighborhoods: Preston Vineyards IV (this is Roundtable Road south of Castle Drive, No. 7707 and lower; Camelot Drive east of Sonoma Valley Drive, No. 10213 and higher)
  • Middle Schools-south
    • Hunt Middle School to Clark Middle School- This will impact 33 current students in the following neighborhoods: Cool Springs Apartments, Post Sierra at Frisco Bridges Apartments, Legacy Town Center Townhomes Phase 4, Parkside at Legacy Apartments, Origin at Frisco Bridges Apartments, Colonial Reserve at Frisco Bridges Apartments, Northside at Legacy Apartments, AMLI at the Ballpark Apartments.
