Three applicants have filed to run for the open seats on the Frisco ISD board of trustees in the May 9 election.
The open seats each have three-year terms—place 1, held by Bryan Dodson; place 2, held by Renée Ehmke; and place 3, held by Chad Rudy.
Dodson and Rudy have filed for reelection on Jan. 20, which is when FISD began accepting applications.
According to the district, Ehmke has indicated that she will not seek another term after 12 years of service to the students, parents and staff of FISD.
Running for her seat is Anjali Shirvaikar, who is the Liberty High School PTSA president.
The last day to file is 5 p.m. Feb. 19.
Applications may be picked up at the Frisco ISD Administration Building, 5515 Ohio Drive, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.
The last day to register to vote is April 7.
Early voting will take place April 25-May 3, and the election will take place May 7.
